Emergency crews are responding to a fire at the Milamores restaurant near Plaza Abaroa in the Sopocachi neighborhood of La Paz as of late Jan. 6. The fire started in the afternoon; firefighters are now at the site battling the blaze. Officials have evacuated some surrounding buildings as a precaution. The cause of the fire is unclear, and no casualties have been reported.
Emergency personnel will likely remain in the area until they extinguish the blaze and complete an investigation into the incident.
