The 6th Japan-Bolivia Policy Consultations



  1. On October 2, commencing at 3:00 p.m. (local time; 4:00 a.m. on October 3 JST) for approximately two hours and fifteen minutes, the 6th Japan-Bolivia Policy Consultations was held in La Paz, Bolivia. The Japanese side was represented by Mr. NOGUCHI Yasushi, Director General of the Latin American and Caribbean Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Bolivian side was represented by Ms. Mayra MONTERO, Director General of Bilateral Relations, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides confirmed that, seizing the opportunity of the 110th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bolivia in 2024, the two countries would strengthen bilateral relations further in areas such as development cooperation, economic relations and people-to-people exchanges. Both sides also discussed on cooperation in international fora, and exchanged views on regional and international affairs including the situations in Ukraine, East Asia, and Latin America.
