The construction of the Hydropic Green Forage Production Center in the town of Payrumani, in the municipality of Escara, in the department of Oruro, reached more than 90% progress, President Luis Arce reported.
“To provide fresh forage all year round to our #Oruro producers, we are building an important Hydroponic Center in the municipality of Escara, which entered the final stage with more than 90% progress. With actions, and not words, we demonstrate our love for the Homeland,” reads the president’s social networks.
According to the State Contracting System (Sicoes), this center, which is a project of the National Fund for Productive and Social Investment (FPS) in Oruro, was built with financing of more than Bs 1.5 million from the General Treasury of the Nation (TGN).
According to data from the FPS, the project will benefit more than 600 residents of Payrumani. Hydroponic green fodder (HVF) is a technology for the production of plant biomass obtained from the initial growth of plants in the stages of germination and early growth of seedlings from viable seeds.
The FVH, or “green fodder hydroponics” in a feed or live forage, is of high digestibility, nutritional quality, and very suitable for animal feeding, according to data from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
