The Bolivian government has granted sanitary approval for Brazil to export blood derivatives, hemoglobin, and plasma from cattle and swine to Bolivia. These animal by-products are valued for their high nutritional content and are widely used in the feed industry, expanding trade opportunities between the two nations.
This marks the second market access gained by Brazil in Bolivia within a year. In December 2023, Brazil successfully opened the Bolivian market for the export of fertile eggs, further strengthening agricultural trade.
Since the start of 2024, Brazilian agricultural exports to Bolivia have reached approximately $300 million, with forestry products leading the way. This new authorization is a significant addition to Brazil’s growing export portfolio.
With this achievement, Brazil has secured its 198th market access this year, bringing the total to 276 market entries across 61 countries since the beginning of 2023. The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, along with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, have played key roles in facilitating these accomplishments.
The new market access underscores the successful collaborative efforts between Brazil’s government and agricultural industry, positioning the country as a leading global exporter.
