Bolivian leaders condemn coup actions in Brazil

La Paz, Jan 8 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Luis Arce and former President Evo Morales today condemned on their respective Twitter accounts the assault by extremist groups on three headquarters of state power in Brazil.

“We strongly condemn the assault on the Congress, Palace and Supreme Court of #Brazil by anti-democratic groups,” Arce said on that social network.

The dignitary added that “the fascists” will always seek to take by force what they did not achieve at the polls, and ratified his solidarity with the Brazilian people and their president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Evo Morales, for his part, called for the international community, multilateral organizations and democratic governments to form a single bloc in defense of democracy in Brazil.

He meant in one of his messages that “the coup will not happen. Democracy will prevail ”, and he reiterated“ all our support for brother @ LulaOficial and his people ”.

Morales assured in another tweet that “the unity and strength of the Brazilian and Latin American people will defend our democracies, against fascism and the destabilization of the right-wing groups that do not accept their defeats at the polls.”

The leader of the Movement for Socialism-Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples wished, “strength!” Lula and Brazil, and expressed the conviction that “we will win.”
